In preparation for the upcoming oil well drilling project by Pertamina EP in Bekasi Regency, all prospective crew members assigned to Rig Harmand#01 participated in a Well Control training program.

Known as PETROL (Pertamina Well Control), the training is mandatory for all personnel involved in the drilling of PDL-C.

The session serves as a critical step to ensure readiness and safety compliance in the field.

The two-day training was held in Cirebon, focusing on equipping participants with the essential knowledge and procedures required for well-controlled safety.

This session aimed to train and refresh the crew’s ability to handle potential blowouts, one of the most serious risks in drilling operations.

Prioritizing Safety and Readiness

The training was attended by a select group of crew members who will be directly involved in operating Rig Harmand#01.

It followed the completion of each participant’s Medical Check-Up (MCU) and was part of a broader preparation program that included competency assessments and technical briefings prior to field deployment.

Conducted by experienced practitioners from Pertamina EP Zone 7, Region 2, the training combined theoretical instruction with field simulations to improve crew responsiveness in emergency situations.

A Commitment to Industry Standards

A representative from Harmand’s management team emphasized that this training reflects the company’s strong commitment to upholding high safety standards in line with industry regulations.

The training also ensures that each crew member is technically and mentally prepared to begin the drilling operation with confidence and caution.

Preparation for Operations in Bekasi

Rig Harmand#01 is scheduled to begin operations soon as part of Pertamina EP’s oil well drilling project in Bekasi Regency.

This training marks a crucial early step in ensuring the entire project runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with operational procedures.

Harmand once again carried out its annual qurban tradition to commemorate Eid al-Adha 1446 H / 2025, as an expression of gratitude and social compassion.

The sacrificial slaughter of one goat took place at the Cipondoh area in Tangerang, with the involvement of Harmand employees and representatives from a nearby mosque.

The qurban ceremony was conducted in a simple yet solemn manner, reflecting the values of sincerity and togetherness that are central to the spirit of Eid al-Adha.

The qurban meat was then distributed to the local residents as part of the company’s commitment to building harmonious relationships with the surrounding community.

In addition to its spiritual and social significance, the qurban also coincided with the start of Harmand’s latest project, which is scheduled to begin in late June 2025.

The qurban ceremony also served as a hopeful symbol of a positive beginning for the success of the upcoming project.

Through activities like this, PT Harmand Intimarin Indonesia hopes to continuously nurture the values of togetherness, gratitude, and social responsibility alongside the company’s growth.
